After answering questions, under the "whats your source?" tab, uncheck "also share this as an update to:.." from facebook.

There is a reason that guy is a billionaire and in my humble opinion the only way is to remove facebook all together but like most people who love that site because it meets their social needs, it outweighs the security risk. And yes I do not have nor have I ever had facebook on my computer. I do not trust anyone that makes billions off all our personal information. My humble opinion.

Edit update: My wife was on facebook for a while but removed it off of her computer after she realized that she could never make it secure enough. Every time she secured it further she found some piece of herself somewhere else and people trying to make contact with her without her permission. I am a main frame computer operator for the US government where security is paramount but we have security techs who still use facebook and yes they complain but love it for its social value. My point? Either you want total security or if you facebook, you will never be totally secure. The key word is totally.

Amen shellback.

And that includes all the so-called social networks. People who share info in the public domain are just asking for all kinds of trouble.
