How do I advertise our Hampshire Wedding Photography?
We are a husband and wife team that have recently started a photography business. We are passionate about turning magic moments into memories but don't have an endless advertising budget! Our friends are an amazing source of help but we still need to get our site "out there" for potential bride and grooms to see, especially as we're offering really great wedding rates to increase our portfolio!

Thanks,
Abi

Start with local bridal shops and do several "freebies" for references. Also, advertise at florists. Word of mouth goes a long way. Also, do a small ad in local paper with for this "small" package, you also get our "get to know us special photographs for free".

Firstly Word of mouth is the best form of advertising for any company but there are other ways to get your mane out there!

I would consider contacting various wedding suppliers in the Hampshire area and ask if it is possible for you to leave some leaflets / Cards advertising your services and site. Bridal Dress shops are a great place as many potential brides pass through the door each day as well as cake shops too.

Maybe set up a page on Facebook. Here you can advertise your site and services, connect with other local suppliers and also add images onto the page to showcase your work. Search and post onto the walls of other Hampshire Wedding suppliers who also have Facebook pages..
This does work, I have set up a wedding related website for Essex and set up a Facebook page, its a great way to network and for suppliers to advertise their services for free.
Twitter can also be useful too.

There are some wedding directories who offer free listings so it may be worth while contacting some of those to see if you can get your business listed. I have listed some below who are all either Hampshire based or include Hampshire listings, They may be of help to you, it wont hurt contacting them to see if they do free listings.

You may also want to consider placing an advertisement into a local newspaper, it doesn't have to be a huge advertisement but it will get your name out there.

Also if you did have some budget to spare UK National wedding magazines like Wedding Ideas and Perfect Wedding include listings in the back of there magazines and allow advertising throughout. I'm not sure how much it is to do this but these magazines are bought by thousands of prospective brides each year

Good Luck and I hope I've been of some help
