Disconnected iPhone ?
My friend is giving me her iPhone but my parents said that they would not be able to connect it because they're with Metro and they dont connect iPhones. They are waiting until the emd of march to seitch companies. In the meanwhile, what can i do with an iPhone that hasn't been connected ? Will i be able to use kik messenger, instagram, play games and put my own music in it ?

For network applications, use wifi. For music, install iTunes on your computer, get your music in there (do not need to buy music from iTunes, just get MP3's you may already have dragged to the iTunes application's library) and sync. Same with video and other stuff. You just can make/take phone calls...

Be sure you understand what kind of iPhone it is - it is possible that it might connect to AT&T or T-Mobile, but not Verizon or Sprint - and we don't know what new service provided your going to try to use.
