I want to start blogging?
I'm really interested in blogging because I want to express my
views regarding different things and also earn a decent amount of money. But I don't know how should I get started. I have never blogged before.

Since you're just starting out, best to create a website out of a free platform. Wordpress, Blogger, Tumblr, Squidoo, and Hubpages are good sites to start on. They are fairly easy to use and set up, you can always watch tutorials on YouTube as to the set up and configuration of the site. Best of luck to you!

Hi Jason,

I'll try to list the steps you should do to start blogging and earn money.

1) As a starter, you can start using Blogger.com or Wordpress.com to create your free blog on their platform.

2) Learn a bit about SEO so that your blog can be found via search engine. Furthermore, in the process of doing SEO, it will also help others find your blog. http://www.mktdojo.com/how-to-optimize-website

Here are a few more articles about SEO to get you started:
http://www.mktdojo.com/how-to-keyword-re...ide-to-seo
http://www.mktdojo.com/off-page-optimization-guide

3) Start posting quality content on your blog

4) Once you have a good amount of content and visitor, you can sign up for Google Adsense and other Affiliate programs to start making money.

For Google Adsense, you must have a good amount of contents first. Once you are approved for Adsense, Google will place ads on your blog and when your visitors click on the ads, you will get a % commission. That is why I mentioned that you should sign up after you have a good amount of visitors. More visitors = more chance someone will click on ad = more money

Affiliate programs is when you sign up with a certain company, they will provide a special tracking URL for you to use. You can write articles to promote that company's product and etc. and use the link in the article. If someone clicks on the special link and purchase something, you will get commission. Once again, more visitor = higher chance someone will click and purchase = more money.

Hope this helps!

This question requires far more info than can be given in an answer here. There are so many things to consider - platform, niche, domain, title, hosting etc.
I have put together a free 5 day email course to answer all these questions at HTTP://www.digital-bucks.com/blogging-for-beginners/

I would strongly recommend you look at wordpress.com as a free service to get you introduced to the topic. Get used to what you can write and learn all you can. When you feel more comfortable you will easily be able to migrate to a paid hosting provider. Most support Wordpress installs and you will be already be used to the interface and it will be easier for you.

Feel free to check our hosting services at http://www.computergeeks2go.com/hosting.shtml

Please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have. We will be happy to get you started and get your blog running.
