I don't believe it's plagiarism if you use a bibliography, or note your sources. Or, you could just write the news stories yourself!!! Good Luck!

That can depend on the source, some spell out it being copyrighted, "not to be duplicated" content, others might be OK with it if you make a citation of the source site, just linking to their site in a summary of their article is the safest way to handle. You will also find some sites, particularly blogs have RSS feeds than can be setup to automatically update the copy on your site when they add new material.

There are also the many article directory sites like ezinearticle.com where you are invited to 'reprint' the material as long as you retain the author credit and link in the article.

Reprinted material will not be as effective in raising a site's search ranking, some use "spinning" software that automatically rewrites an article, producing a less readable but unique looking to search spiders article. This not terribly ethical practice or creating copies just for search engines typically make for a second rate user experience.

Have you checked RSS Feeds. Google, Yahoo and other have RSS Feed that you can use for free. For example http://www.centralbusinessdistrict.net has a feed from Google news - The feeds are on the side bar last widget. If you are using Wordpress there is plugins to help you with this task.

why don't you go through the article and re-write it completely...change the sentence structures around and then use a simily online dictionary to change more of the words around or use article writing software.
