WTF is wrong with my internet connection?

My internet connection is killing me tonight, because the lights on my modem keep blinking every five minutes.

I think it has something to do with the cold weather outside.

Do you think it's the cold weather or is it something else?

Why don't you try turning off your router, wait for 30 secs and plug it back in again. If that doesn't work contact your Internet service provider.

Do a hard reset (kill the power and reconnect). Sometimes that helps.

just reset your modem I don't think the weather plays a major role

Blinking on a modem is common and doesn't necessarly mean there is an issue but if you are on satellite internet, weather can degrade signal quality. I'd actually try powercycle and when you boot up- power up modem/router/PC in that order.
