Can a chewed cable wire mess up my router?
My dog recently chewed half way through the cable wire connected with a splitter going to my cable box to my wireless router, ever sense it seems as my home internet is getting worse and worse, we immidietly changed the cable and it seemed to work for a while, but now my phone, tablet, and xbox can barely keep a working connection, could the router be damaged when the wire was chewed In half? When fixing it, the outlet to the wall got pulled out a little bit, but as far as I could tell the inside wire was connected and working fine, as well as the cable on the tv.

The chewed cable probably caused a short circuit that takes place when conductors come into contact that may be caused the router to malfunction

A dog. Yeah that's what I thought it was, I had a dog before and it did something similar to that. So that's the problem but it should be fixable or may be other routes you can take.
