can somebody hack your adsl and use it's traffic?
few minutes ago i was playing on game ranger , then somebody sent me a message"i have hacked your adsl , if you dont do what i want then i am going to ..."
I have changed my router's password and username,could this change help me? Ads |

he should have your ip
but cant do anything to your pc only deconfigure the setting of your router but dont panic he's just bluffing Ads |

The only way for someone to use your internet is if they're within range of your WiFi and there's no password set on it.
They can't hack your internet from somewhere far away. |

He can't do anything if you know how to handle it. If I were you, I'd reset my router just in case he actually did do something to it. You may want to change a few settings on it, and make sure the network key is WPA2. He can spy on your internet activity if he knows what he's doing, but if this was an email, it's probably just a prank or scam. Make sure guest network is off, and you may want to turn off broadcasting so that someone would have to enter both the network name and password to connect.
Also, you may be able to get him in trouble if he actually did. Contact the FBI and tell them about it if it concerns you. |
