Free market means where there is no control of govt over market. For eg. earlier Petrol prices were controlled by govt but now oil marketing companies are not controlled by Government. Now the market is free to decide its price etc. Free market is good for consumers.

It mean self regulation. With little or no government oversight, the market somehow regulates itself due to competition, best service provider, best customer service , best consumer satisfaction etc.

Free market is a market structure in which the distribution and costs of goods and services, along with the structure and hierarchy between capital and consumer goods, are coordinated by supply and demand unhindered by external regulation or control by government or monopolies. A completely free market is an idealized form of a market economy where buyers and sellers are allowed to transact freely based on a mutual agreement on price without state intervention in the form of taxes, subsidies or regulation.
