Why do I keep getting emails of certain friends status updates on facebook?

It's only a couple of people I will get an email to to me from Facebook when they update their status/upload a picture, etc. on Facebook. And these people I don't really even talk too. Why do I get sent an email when these certain people post updates? Just thought it was kind of odd.

You might have marked them as "Close friends". Facebook usually notifies you of all status updates and posts made by close friends so that you do not miss anything about them. Check their profile if you have marked "starred" close friends

You just get only notification, not all of thing by making them as a close friend.
Otherwise it is not possible to attach any one another account on this.
