Firefox freezes because of media players?

Firefox freezes every time I go to a page with a video or media player, such as Youtube, Hulu or southparkstudios.com. Half the time, it goes pack to normal after 5 minutes, but I can't even switch to another tab at that point. Any Ideas what I might be missing?

i believe it's an issue with your flash player
go to Adobe and run the check for what version you have and look for it to update
