They sent the pictures to a third party to use them against me

When you take a picture on Facebook, it enters the public domain.

Nope. Once you upload pictures online to something like Facebook, it becomes public domain for anyone to use.

That's actually in the Terms of Use that you agree to when you make a Facebook account.

Well you have raised the very controversial question here. Once you put the pic on FB, it enters the public domain, Even if you remove it, it will still be in FB servers and they can do anything with it they want. For next time, maybe this can help. -
