Too many ads keep showing up on my computer help plz!?

Ok, so in September of this year, I got a new Windows 8 laptop. When I first used the browser internet explorer, Firefox, google chrome etc no ads showed up on my computer while browsing. Then last month, for no reason when I started browsing, there were so many ads showing up on google chrome and even firefox. Its irritating cuz I have to x them out every once in a while. Its annoying. How do you make this stop?!?! Thxx!!

if you mean new ads opening up in new windows just disable pop-ups.
