hi! you can learn search engine optimization (SEO) from a number of sources. Some of them are reliable and really helpful and some are not so good.

There is a number bloggers that have really informative articles, but of course those articles are scattered and on some advanced levels of optimization. YouTube can be helpful as jhon said and a number of ebooks that you can easly find online.

You can ask around and maybe you will find friends that can teach some basic stuff, but if you are serious about learning, you have to watch some lectures and start practicing.

From my experience, reading/watching is ok for the beginning, but at the end of the day you need to get your hand dirty and execute every detail of seo by yourself. Only then will you understand how different factors of seo work together and how you can improve the rankings of a website.

You can easily find out lots of Video tutorial from Youtube and there so many sites also available for online teaching on SEO. I am preffering Lynda.com and Youtube to learn SEO and updating data regarding SEO.
