Got scammed via paypal! help!?
this kid posted a picture of a beta code for PlayStation all stars battle royal on the game developers facebook page. the code was blacked out and he said he'd sell it for $10. seeing how I've been really excited about this game i took him up on the offer. we talked about it via facebook chat for a bit then i sent him 10 dollars via paypal for it. he sent me the email with the code. but when i went to go try it on my ps3 it was no longer valid. he deleted his post and his facebook account. do you think he's going to hack my paypal/email? i literally just changed my passwords to complex ones for both after realizing the possibility that he could hack me. is there anything else i should do/ worry about? i'm pretty freaked out right now!

He might have done this for $10. Try to register a complaint with paypal.

I reckon you will be ok you have changed your passwords, good. You lucky you never got stung for more.Let this one be a lesson Face book= bad end of...the old saying sticks,to good to be true then it usually is..saying this if your really paranoid you could always get in touch with pay pal and may be they could track his I.P if he was not using proxy.saying that ten dollars now, what next,or how many ten dollars..Lots of malicious code on face book from links etc....plus all the information you put in there is stored for ever. Were all spied upon by the .T.P.T.B.....

Take screen shots of the code not working and his Facebook being deleted. U will need it when u open the case against him with PayPal. It will take a while but u might get it back

Luckily it was only $10 now u know not to ever use PayPal to send to some kid unless its eBay or something legit

Just tell paypal that he sent you a wrong code - if he is a scammer then other ppl also complained about him and paypal will give you your money back
