Multiple Linkedin Profiles good or bad?
I am an electrical designer with over 11 years experience involving commercial and Industrial engineering. However I also have experience with graphic design and run 3 t-shirt websites, as well as create club flyers, business cards, logos ETC. on a freelance basis.
My question is, should I have separate linkedin accounts? I feel like having the experience in both (which is how it is now) hurts my chances from one or the other with potential employers. I don't want someone coming across my profile looking for an engineer and seeing that additionally I have graphic design experience and be turned of, and vice versa. suggestions? Ads |

Hi David,
I believe you should go with one profile and list all your skills under Skills and Expertise. If you have multiple profiles and when someone search for you, which one should they add? It will be best if you have all your connections under one profile. Furthermore, it is easier to manage and further expand your network. With all the skills you mentioned above, having one profile will even make your profile more outstanding compared to others. |

I would check with the Terms of Service that LinkedIn requires you to agree to when you create your account. It may be that you can only have one profile. You can create a Business page for more than business if you want.
