Windows 7 internet trouble :(?
Ok so here is the issue

I have a windows 7 computer not a laptop from my friend.

The internet didn't work... plugged it into ethernet updated the wifi card driver and windows updates... then it worked... unplugged ethernet cable worked...

Took it to my room upstairs ( right above the router ) didnt work any more.

All the other devices in the house can connect perfectly.

No there is no restrictions like SSID masking or mac address filtering or anything like that
I dont have much metal in my roof

The card is probably 802.11G. Get an n card or change position in the rooms for router or computer. The ceiling of level one (floor of level two) may have a lot of metal in it.

You should also test it again at level one with a fresh web page, because it is possible that a web page was loaded when you unplugged the ethernet. The page was still cached when you "tested" it with Wi-Fi before taking it upstairs.

Maybe you should connect your LAN opt1 or 2 to the necessary output configurations. Just follow these steps.

1. Turn on your Xbox

2. Insert Forza 3

3. Select an expensive car from your garage.

4. Select gift car.

5. Enter GanjaGuitarGuy in the gamertag box.

6.Then get a laptop that isn't a total piece of schit, and your internet connection will be great in any room of your house.
