facebook relationship status change?

Hi,
if a person's relationship with someone ends and updates Facebook accordingly, will the original post in Facebook's news feed (when they first hooked up) go away, or will it stay there?
you can make any assumptions you want as to why I am asking..

It Will Still Be Part of the History But it Wont Appear on the Profile Anymore Tho

It will be present there on the timeline untill and unless he manually hides that post or delete it by going back to that day.
