Which phone is better? Nokia Lumia or Samsung Galaxy Ace?

I had a Blackberry 8520 but it broke due to water damage and my mum and dad are buying me a new phone

I was due an upgrade anyway though and the phones I could get were the Nokia Lumia (picture here: http://cdn4.mos.techradar.futurecdn.net/...80-100.JPG ) and I chose the Samsung Galaxy Ace 1. I ordered a phone case for the Samsung which is due to arrive in about a week. This was 3 days ago, it was supposed to come yesterday but it didn't so my mum rang the phone company and asked what had happened.

The phone company said that I could have the Nokia Lumia and it wuold arrive tomorrow, or I could have the Samsung Galaxy Ace and it would come in about a week. I chose the Samsung.

Earlier on with my friends I went into a phone shop (not the same one as I'm getting the phone from) and asked their advice on what phone is better and they said the Nokia. I also wrote a facebook status and 3 people have said Nokia, while 2 people have voted for the Samsung.

Now I'm having doubts about which phone to get, I know I have ordered the Samsung but I may ring up and ask for the Nokia instead. The Samsung has the Google Play app store and is an android phone, whilst the Nokia Lumia has Windows 8. Also, people have commented on the Nokia having a great camera, but I mainly want the phone for the texting, calling, camera and use of apps.

Can anyone recommend a phone and what are your reasons for your choice?

Should I wait for the Samsung and have my case, or have the Nokia tomorrow?

But mainly, what is a better phone and why? Bearing in mind I would really like the use of apps, (e.g. Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Vine, Peem, and then also games and photo editing apps)

I personally would recommend the Samsung galaxy Ace as it is a brilliant Android 2.3.6 Smartphone. It has a 5MP Camera with LED Flash, 158MB+ Internal Storage, Bluetooth 3.0, Google Play Store (100,000+, a variety of Apps.) The only downside, is that it was released in February, 2011 and is aging rapidly against e.g. Samsung GALAXY S4, htc One, iPhone 5, Sony XPERIA Z. Also, I would recommend the Samsung Galaxy Y, Sony Xperia Miro, Sony Xperia J, Samsung Galaxy SII, Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini, as they offer similar and newer features than the Nokia Lumia 520 and Samsung Galaxy Ace.
