HELP - why did he message me?

My ex and I got into this HUGE fight 2 months ago.
Where mean things were said on both sides and I thought he said he didn't want to be friends or whatever.
We didn't talk for 2 months.

I tried to talk to him a couple of times, but he never responded.
We play in the same soccer league on sundays, and 3 weeks ago, I saw him and tried talking to him but all he said was "sorry, can't talk"


I was blocked on Facebook.

Until today, when I messaged me on Facebook, saying "what did you want to talk to me about? I'm listening…." so I responded with "hi" and he goes "that's all you have to say?"
So we were kind of texting for a little bit but he stopped responding… lol


Why would he message me??
And then why would he not respond?

I wouldn't get your hopes high and say he wants to get back but they're could be a possibility that he does. But I see that he is immature and won't give you a straight up answer which he should. And blocking you on Facebook and now he messaged you? Come on, so childish. It's best just to stay away from him. And if you're wondering how I would know all this, it's because I've been through it, just luckily for me he was very honest. But the whole blocking thing, it's so stupid.

He probably messaged you to see if you still liked him. Why else do exes talk to each other? Usually to work it out and try it again. HOWEVER, from what you told me, if he messaged and then proceeded to ignore you, this probably means he is not interested in a relationship with you. But rather he just wanted to hear you poor out your heart to him and beg for him back just so he could elevate himself by reminding you of your failed relationship and reject you. This is extremely common. And since you did not tell him why he wanted or what he suspected to hear, he is ignoring you! He was just curious what you were going to say.
