Best camera for youtube filming and general photography?
I am hoping to start a Youtube channel and am wondering what would be the best camera for filming? Also, I would love to start doing more photography (my digital camera just doesn't do it!), so what would be a good camera for both these uses?

My spidey sense tells me you are an internet baby, so I'll suggest these gadgets that are internet friendly. I'll give you a wide range since you didn't state a budget.

* Canon T3i for $500-600. Best picture and best video for this price range. However, DSLR cameras are not good options for action videos because you may have to constantly adjust to stay in focus.
* Kodak Zi8 HD Pocket Camera for around $400. This gizmo is designed for continuous hours of recording. Perfect for youtube. It takes decent photos. I'm guessing you're not a print photographer, more of an instagram photographer. Small and useable like a camera phone.
* GoPro Hero 2 video camera for $200. It's strange looking, waterproof. Designed for the outdoor enthusiast. Has body harness for hands free video recording. Helmet mount option. Night vision option. Youtube friendly. Not very good for photography, but it's a cheap option to dazzle with shots in the rain or under water.
* Canon Elph 320 or Samsung WB150f at around $200-250. The Canon is better at photography, the Samsung at video. Their best feature, they come with Wi-Fi so you can shoot and upload to Facebook or transfer it to your smartphone/computer.
