Why did he make a fake account?

Ok, so my ex and I were in a LDR (he lives in the Netherlands), I broke up with him last month because he was really really friendly with his ex/best friend, and after that he harassed me. Like big time harassment. We both used this pen pal website (It's how we met) and I've made a lot of friends my age while on it after the break up. This one person who added me seemed cool. We talked for a week or so, but today I found out it was my ex. He impersonated a girl on the site. I told him nicely that I never wanted to talk to him again in the last email I wrote him weeks ago. And since then I've just been ignoring him.

But why did he make a fake account just to talk to me? After knowing that he did make a fake account I started to shake really bad. I don't know what to do...

It's just my point of view but maybe he just trying to get you back? When I read that the first thing that came into my mind was he is afraid to come to you up front and decides to come in as a girl using the website you used because it would be the last thing on your mind that it is him since it's a girl and I think he is just trying to get what you are thinking about him out because you know girls talking about boyfriends and stuff right? I don't know how you feel about the harassment but even if it was bad, Iyou should forgive him and hear his explanation then let time decide whether you should get back but don't make rash decision so quickly or it would be back to square one...just take your time. Don't avoid him though, just be normal around him as if he is just a friend then see how it goes...Hope this helps!
