Ebay question? Please help?
If you wanna skip the details read the bottom line

ok so i bought an item as a guest. it was due to arrive on the 17th of jan at the latest. it sill hasn't arrived so after failing to contact the supplier i tried to report the problem. to do this i had to make an account. after doing this and signing in, it didn't register that i bought the item because i was a guest when i bought it. i hope that makes sense.
and yes i have tried contacting ebay but it wont work if they dont think ive bought anything.

So after buying an item as a guest can i link the purchase to an account????
Yes it went through ebay. i got a confirmation email after the purchase. wasnt paypal but through a debit card.
and it hasnt just been a few days its been a week now

I'm a bit confused by your question because I always thought that with eBay you'd needed an account before buying anything.

You did complete the transaction properly through eBay and not just e-mail the seller or something (if you did e-mail the seller or something then your on your own).

Also did you pay for it with PayPal? Most eBay transactions must go through PayPal. Have you tried starting a dispute on the payment within PayPal instead. If you paid by posting them a cheque or postal order or bank transfer you might have to take it up with your bank instead. PayPal is always by far the most easiest way to pay and they do have ways to dispute payments easily within paypal. All other options there isn't anywhere near as much protection.

If you got an e-mail receipt of some sort, which you should have, look for the item number and call ebay.

The guest thing is apparently new. You can still register as a member by creating an account via the order details page.

It would help to know when the item ended. You need to give somebody a few days to ship, and then there can be delivery time. Add extra if it's coming internationally. If it's just been a week, that's too soon to panic.

In the future, I'd suggest registering as a member to avoid problems. This guest thing looks to be new and doesn't have the kinks ironed out, most likely.
