Who said "There are no shortcuts to any place worth going." ?
I would like to know if it was Beverly Sills or Helen Keller who said: "There are no shortcuts to any place worth going."

-The media image I uploaded is of two different pictures from google image search. One of them references Helen Keller and the second one references Beverly Sills.

When I try to do a search to find out who said this quote I get a different answer depending on which website I visit. One website will say Helen Keller, while another website will say Beverly Sills. Although they seem to pop up equally, I noticed certain websites with better credentials will say Beverly Sills ((so I'm leaning more towards her)).

If anyone can tell me for certain who originally said this quote, along with any history behind it, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you!

I do believe it was Beverly Sills.
Beverly Sills quotes - There are no shortcuts to any place worth going.
As quoted in Conquering an Enemy Called Average (1996) by John L. Mason

Sites with it attributed to Helen Keller show no source and many sites have since pulled (deleted) it from her list.
Helen Adams Keller (June 27, 1880 – June 1, 1968) was an American writer and social activist.
She had many inspirational quotes, and the one you show would be in line with her hard work, but with all of the printed works including a book of quotations, the subject quote is missing.

Beverly Sills (born Belle Silverman; 25 May 1929 – July 2, 2007) was a Grammy award winning coloratura soprano, perhaps the best-known American opera singer in the 1960s and 1970s.

Including the misattributed review at the site.

Another authoritative site

And another:

"There are no shortcuts" has been a partial quotation for a longer time
There are no shortcuts in evolution.- Louis D. Brandeis As an associate justice of the U.S. Supreme Court, Louis Dembitz Brandeis (1856-1941)

I am convinced Beverly Sills took it as an extension from Louis Brandeis at least in thought if not literally.

Beverly Sills is more often credited with it. But the problem is that there is NO primary source, i.e. no proof. All that can be safely claimed is that it is "commonly attributed to Beverly Sills".
