Where are my tumblr messages?

If i ask someone a question on tumblr and they reply, it doesnt show up in my inbox. I know they have answered it becuase when i go on their acc i see my question i asked thats been answered by them yet it doesnt show up in my inbox. Ive checked on my setting and it says that people can ask me questions and reply and stuff but it still doesnt show up. I have two accounts and on the other one it shows up on their so why doesnt it show up on this one?
