Potential client sites ... need more variety?

I currently use Thumbtack to help me find new clients. Does anyone know of more / similar sites. Which ones (if any)?

Unfortunately those specialty directories only reach a small percentage of prospects. There are those local coupon sites, between the discounted costs and service feeds they are probably first customer acquisition money losers.

If you have a local business with a street address, it's essential that you have a developed free Google Places page, they have the A-G stick pins on the search results for: your service. your city.
Getting citations with the identical format address in the many online business directories can improve your search ranking as does a reviews and business web site.
