Don't Use Craigslist, if you're actually looking for legitimate work. Create a profile on LinkedIn, and join groups that cater to the career field you desire employment in. Then find a company you would like to work for and get in touch with their HR department and go from there.

You are probably just opening yourself to scams. Are you a general handyman just making yourself available? Careful, that unscrupulous people will not pay you.
