Firefox browser issues. How to fix?

I noticed that lately my Firefox is slower than usual. Whenever I open a PDF document, Firefox freezes up. Sometimes Youtube videos will not play and just hang at 00:00 with a black screen. When they do play, the video is blurry and skips. Sometimes I get a message in Firefox saying that a script on the page is busy or stopped responding. Also sometimes google will not work and just hangs loading and then says that the webpage cannot be found, even though other websites can be accessed fine.

Sometimes I also get redirected to other pages, for example a few times when I tried to go to Ebay.com a page came up wanting me to complete a survey to win an Ipad, and once when I tried to go to Paypal.com it displays a white screen with an error message that says it could not connect to the local MySQL server.

How do I fix these problems with Firefox?

sounds like you have a rootkit re-direct virus , go to http://www.bleepingcomputer.com for the solution you will need malwarebytes and possibly combofix to deal with it

Had the same issue awhile back.Used CCleaner then used AVG 2014 to scan hard drive.
