Samsung Galaxy S4 OR iphone 5?

So my upgrade is due at the end of the month which means I'm planning on getting a new phone but I can't decide between the Samsung Galaxy S4 or Iphone 5

My current phone is a Samsung Galaxy Ace and to be honest I'm quite fed up with it, I think it's version it very out of date now so the phone just doesn't run properly anymore. The memory becomes full up even though I have a 4gb memory card and have about 3 apps on the phone itself because it won't let me move them to the SD card anyway, the phone seems to be full with things that I've never used but are built into the phone so I cannot remove them. The battery life drains very quickly too - I cannot use 3G because my phone will go flat in a matter of minutes.

I'm after a phone where the apps work really well on it, good battery and video/camera usage but not too much extra stuff otherwise it'll just fill up the phone. With the Samsung GS4 it seems like it's full up with a ton of extra features that I probably won't use either, does this mean the battery life will drain quicker and the memory will get full up sooner or will it be fine?

With the Iphone's the screen breaks easily and because it's Apple you're limited to what you can do because Apple only let you connect to other Apple products, but I have never had an Apple product before this is just from friends experiences and what I've heard.

Both of these phones probably are fine it just that I'm so used to my current android so I don't really want another one because I'm worried it'll do the same thing and be useless like my current phone.

I'm someone who uses apps allot (FB, twitter, Gmail, youtube, instagram, keek, tumblr etc) I make youtube videos too so a good video camera on the phone would be handy too

This is a very popular question, so unless you like Star Trek let me say there is a Samsung Galaxy difference between thes phones, which is easily demonstrated in rephrasing or re presenting the question in a single term

The Samsung Galaxy S II (2) was released in MAY 2011 & has 1.2Ghz Dual Core processor with an 8Mp camera.

18 months later November 2012 Apple puts a 1.2Ghz Dual Core processor & 8Mp camera in a phone and call it the iPhone5

The iPhone5 1.2Ghz Dual Core processor & 8Mp camera......The S4 ain't

Virtually every major phone make has a phone with better specs than the Dual Core iPhone5 .

We are now firmly Quad Core. The IP5S will most likely still be Dual Core so has to leap frog past the Quad Core SGS III and even if it does..... HOW MUCH?

You cannot compare the Ace to the S4, the S4, SGS III, SGS II, were all flagship phone so even going to the SGS II you have upgraded and pass the IP5
