I suddenly have a lot more adverts. Help?
Yesterday I clicked on a trusted link to view a funny Potter pic. I was told that I had to download some Java thing, which I did, because my laptop said it was a verified publisher. Anyway, I had a bit of trouble with some other search engine called snapdo replacing google which I was able to sort out, but now every site I go on has adverts at the bottom and the side that it never had before! I wasn't sure until I saw all the new ads on Youtube, and it's really annoying because they keep speaking! Any idea how I can sort this out? Thanks.

You can also delete the cookies (when you visit a website...its data stored in ur computer which are called cookies)
If you're using internet explorer go to: Tools > Internet options > Browsing history - Delete... > check the "Cookies and website data" box It's better if you delete them every couple of days |

You've got a BHO or browser hijacker that you haven't fully removed.
Rahher than post complicated removal instuctions and having to guess what operating system and browser you're using I'd suggest running a scan with ADWCleaner as it will most likely sort it out. http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner/ After the scan it will show results that it considers adware or unwanted stuff. Check through the tabs and make sure that there's nothing that you want to keep. |

If you are using Mozilla Firefox :
Go to firefox menu --> Add-ons --> delete all unnecessary add-ons --> plugins, delete all unnecessary plugins If you are using google chrome : Go to the chrome menu --> settings --> extensions Delete all extensions No More ads, and don't download java things unless you're really certain what it's for you may also have downloaded some wierd software called adware on your computer go to configuration panel --> programs & functions --> and delete all unwanted programs |
