Samsung S3 or S3 mini?

Don't know which one to buy and I want thee best thing.. The S3 is still expensive here in South Africa and the mini is relatively cheap. But I feel like if I buy the S3 Mini I would be missing out on other things..if you have any experiance with both phones I'd appreciate your 2 cents.. Want to know if things like Skype, Instagram etc will work well on S3 Mini coz I'm guessing on S3 everything will run smoothly.. I'm quite sure S3 would be a good purchase but the thing is I'm on a budget, I can only afford S3 on contract and S3 mini in cash.. Will the S3 mini deliver or should I opt for the original S3?
