New to eBay. Please help.?
I'm fairly new to eBay and I'm planning on selling my gaming PC in return for a laptop for college. Last time I sold something eBay took 10% of the price. Does eBay only take that 10% when I put an item up with a buy now option, or does it also take the 10% when the item is being auctioned?

Any other tips when using eBay will be very helpful. Thanks.

Read ebay's help pages for new sellers and especially their fees page.

Be aware that new sellers are very vulnerable to scams when selling electronic/computer goods...be extra careful.

Ebay takes 10% of the selling price, no matter if it was buy it now or auctioned. It is called the final value fee.

There is a fee to list an item depending on its value, and additional fee for adding a buy it now option.

Ane then if paid via Paypal, Paypal takes a percentage too off the total cost of the transaction (cost of item and shipping)

Check ebay fees, and paypal fees for more details.
