Would it be creepy to add him on Facebook?

Ok so last semester I had English class at community college with this guy I think is so attractive. He actually got my attention first because I saw him watching me in class one day. we made eye contact several times since then and one time he smiled in reaction to seeing that I had been looking at him.
We never got the chance to talk (that class wasn't social, he sat on opposite end of room.) But I just found him on Facebook. I really want to get the chance to talk to him and I haven't seen him since that class.
Would it be weird if I added him since we've never spoken?
I just don't want him to think I'm creepy or for him to wonder how I found his page or something…
or deny my request. that would suck
