How can I organize banner advertisements on my website?
I run a B2B website and lately i receive a lot of banner advertisements from paying customers.
Now there are so many that i need to start organising them instead of just placing them underneath each other on every page . i'm using wordpress as a cms and i'm looking at DoubleClick for Publishers by Google, but it seems so difficult. i'm also thinking of matching them with a category. For example, banners from construction companies next to articles about construction and so on. What is the best way to organise banners on my website and what software to use? thanks Ads |

Common practices in delivering banners include, rotating ads, wherein an ad space is share by more than one advertiser, or multiple ads of the same advertiser are cycled through, they may be able to turn on and off certain ads based on performance, limited exposure per session where a visitor sees a given banner only a preset number of times in a single visit or time period, geo targeting options in which based on their IP address, only users in certain locations are shown the banner.
Off site ad servers used by advertisers managing campaigns on multiple publishing sites should do the job. They dynamically insert ads as the page is rendered. openx.org/ free ad server, penads.org/ may be another. Adshuffle.com uniquely charges a couple of pennies per thousand impressions on a CPM rather than fixed price basis, which is great for small time operators. An ad server gives you the option to sell certain number of impressions a month instead of a fixed monthly rate regardless of traffic, and allows you to serve more advertisers without cluttering your site excessively.
