Can the police get your deleted Facebook messages?

I need some deleted Facebook messages because of a serious crime.

However the police lady my mom spoke to said they can't get deleted Facebook messages once you delete it on Facebook it's gone. Because there is. Hard drive that stores all your deleted things in the computer but there isn't enough internet space to get all the deleted things from Facebook.

Yes. All data is stored for a long time even of the accoutn is deleted. But they can only be passed on if the police get a court order, and that requires serious evidence.

yes, they can - it doesnt matter if you delete them, they are all still on the facebook server
