How secure are the photos I post to my facebook page?

When I post pics to my facebook page, are they shared with anyone? Can they be seen by anyone who is not my friend? (I have my albums set to 'friends only') I heard that if I post pics to facebook that they can be found by googling them or something like that. I would like to post pics of my kids on my page but am now worried they will be seen by complete strangers, used inappropriately or sold. So how safe is it that I post pics on facebook?

you can change your privacy settings so that no one other than your friends can see/copy and paste your pictures. if you dont want your friends doing this then you shouldnt upload them

If you change your settings to "friends only" you should be pretty "secure". I say that with quotes because there are ways around the settings. But you shouldn't be worried. No one is going to hack your page to obtain pictures of your children. So just make sure your settings are "friends only" and that other people don't tag pictures of your kids in their photos, because those can be seen by a lot of people that you may not want to see them.
