Why is Facebook wall post or news article comment not showing unless logged in?

If I post a comment to a Facebook page or to a website that does article comments only via Facebook login, I can see my comment if I am logged in. Once I logout, my comment disappears.

I asked this question a year ago and the response was (paraphrasing) "most likely a temporary technical problem with Facebook". However, the problem has been consistent over the year (although because of it I rarely attempt a comment via Facebook login). I just did one and got the same situation.

Anything else in Facebook unless shared public can't be visible unless you login.
