i had a message sent to me on face book it said;
Facebook is recently becoming very overpopulated,there have been many members complaining that Facebook is becoming very slow. Records show that the reason is that there are too many non-active Facebook members and, on the other side, too many new Facebook members.

We will be sending this message around to see if members are active or not. If you are active please send to at least 15 other users using Copy+ Paste to show that you are still active. Those who do not send this message within 2 weeks will be deleted without hesitation to create more space.

Send this message to all your friends titled TELL EVERYONE! to show me that your still active and you will not be deleted.

Completely untrue. It's a chain letter. http://www.facebook.com has its own means to determine whether or not an account is active and it wouldn't use the message system to do so.

No, it's not true.. Facebook has their own system of tracking inactive profiles., they don't need users to send messages in order to know who is active or not.. they even advertise or let's say suggest to you to make facebook better to your friends., sometimes, it can be found on the right side of your Home, under suggestions box, there you may see your friend and under it, Make Facebook better for him/her. They pretty much want to have more people using facebook so that they could increase payment from advertisers advertising on Facebook..
