How to make my profile pictures private on facebook?

I've searched this question on google but the answers all work for the OLD version of facebook, since facebook has changed many times -__-.
So how do you make your profile pictures private, not just to people you don't know but friends too...?
Two of my friends have their profile pictures on private and I would also like to have that privacy too.
For example, when you click their profile picture it doesn't link you to their album...
anyone know how?

You go to your privacy settings on Facebook and choose pictures and you have the options of who you would like to view your photos. Hope I could help.
