getting rid of hundreds of email files?
Just have a few thousand emails lurking on my YAHOO EMAIL page....Is it possible for me to eliminate all but the current ones?
And then how do I take them off the cache?

You can select from the start of the one you want to get rid of, hold down the command key or control key (I think it is in Windows) and select to the end of the oldest email. Than either drag and drop to trash or select delete. Cache? Are the emails on your computer, couldn't hurt to clear a cache file. However if they are in Yahoo email on line don't open them just use the selection process I described and delete them. You can either go through all your folders and delete within the folder based upon date, or drag everything back into the inbox, select all, uncheck those you want to keep and delete the rest.

Keep opening some mails from some agencies which advertise... Open them and below every mail you will find the unsubscribe option. Click on it and it will navigate you to some formal feedback page. Finish that to finish your un-subscription. After doing the same to some dozens of mails everyday, you'll soon find your email inbox getting just some important and personal mails. I did. It made me so relaxed and free from all those spamming advertisements sent by different websites. This is the best way to get rid of them and make our email inbox a personal one.

Further, stop giving your email address anywhere in the internet media. Also create a secondary email for all such subscription, if you wish to get some alerts from them, specifically. That would be better.
