Hi, to promote on facebook you need to log into your account then search for advertise. then your going to be on the main page of advertising, look for the green icon that says something like "create an Ad" .
Then you have to fill out all the camps they question you. like ad title, ad body, ad image, destination URL , etc. Then you can chose your targeting area like country, age, sex. and for the last step you have to chose your daily budget, you can choose to run your ad immediately or you can choose an specif dates, and for the last step choose from Pay for Impressions (CPM), or Pay for Clicks (CPC) Ads |

There are four main ways..
1. Facebook Fan Page - This can be a page dedicated to a business, company, etc. You create a page, incorporate information about your business (including a website URL), and other information as well (i.e. photos, videos, etc.). Send it to all of your friends, spread the word to acquire more fans (every time somebody signs up for one it automatically shows up in the newsfeed). 2. Facebook PPC Ads - This was something I learned about through http://www.trafficvault.com, but it really is a cool concept. I'm sure you've noticed the advertisements on the side of Facebook's page. Those are actually done by other Facebook users. You can create an ad about pretty much anything and set your budget. You only pay anytime somebody clicks on the ad. The coolest part about this is that you can target pretty much ANYBODY. Since Facebook has all that profile data, you can reach people based on age, location, workplace, gender, sexuality, even interest. Also once you set a target market, Facebook lets you know how many people you'll be reaching. 3. Facebook Group - Very very similar to a Facebook Fan Page except it has slightly less functionality. It does look a lot nicer though than a Fan Page in my opinion. 4. Facebook Applications - Very complex as you need to be a programmer to understand, but you can create a Facebook Application about anything. If you have a website that has news articles, you can create an application that displays your three most recent articles and each Facebook member can sign up for the specific application. What's cool about these is that a lot of them are set up where if you sign up for one, it automatically sends a notification to all of your friends. Very viral. Facebook has a lot of good info about advertising on their website: http://www.facebook.com/advertising/ http://www.facebook.com/advertising/#/ad...ing/?pages These are overviews. However I learned about HOW they could help, but signing up for http://www.trafficvault.com. Hope this helps. |
