Ethernet not connecting automatically?

So I have these powerline adapters that let me use ethernet via mains wiring after I got them set up and working and plugged the ethernet into my pc nothing happened so i tested it on my dads laptop and when i plugged it in it connected automatically. Am I missing some Windows 7 Drivers? I have also tried other ethernet cables but that doesnt work.

Must be he network ethernet driver missing. It should be on the drivers CD that came with the computer.
