I want to get a facebook page, but my dad keeps saying no, and my mom always goes along with my dad. he always says that he doesn't want me friending weird people but I told him I just want to keep in touch with people from school and from where I moved from and stuff like that. but he still said no!

Well you can actually make it to were only you can send friend requests to people but no one else can, you can also report or block people if they are bothering you. There is no way that they can contact you if you do block or report someone.

trust me facebook is DEAD. A lot of my friends deleted theirs and I dont know that many people that go on it anymore. A lot of people moved on to twitter, facebook is slowly the new myspace so you're really not missing out on much.

Well if you managed to post this question without them seeing it you might as well make a facebook lol. Just don't press on the "remmeber me" button where you add your email. Also you can make a security setting where people can't look up your name so if you're parents get fb they won't find you. You can also delete the history but that might make them suspicious lol

Well if you are under 13 than I am with your dad on this sorry. Otherwise, brainstorm about how it is important to you and how you will use it responsibly and then sit down with your dad and carefully explain why it is important to you and how you will use it responsibly.
