Did someone hack me on twitter?

I don't use twitter, and for a few days i did last year. In that time i added a few people people added me etc. I got a direct message from some girl saying Interesting.... I was confused. I go to my sent box and it listed 4 or 5 messages that was sent out with a link saying hey check this out you can make more money. They were all sent out 9 hours ago. Thing is i don't use twitter at all and i havent signe din a few months. So how did someone get in? Also i don't have any viruses or anything like that and this is the only thing im having a problem with. I changed my pw but this is very alarming.

Its just spam. The person probably used a 3rd party software to harvest email address and then it send the same email out to hundreds of people.
