Internet won't work..?
I'm using some random internet from somewhere. anyways, earlier I was switching the power on and off with the power control box in the basement. I was doing that to tick my mom off lol. and now my internet won't work. I already tried unplugging the modem for 30 seconds and nothing changed. help ?

So let see if I have this right. You flipped the circuit breaker to annoy your mother and in the process caused a power spike that blow the system board in your router or our computer. Sounds like a rather costly joke to me.

You shorted your router/modem board. The green board you see in all 'larger then a coin' electronics is very very susceptible to electricity issues.
The other thing that may have happened is you may have reset it to factory default. If you did that you should get whoever originally set it up to set it back to the way it was. Good luck. |
