I saw an article on this the other day on yahoo! and now i cant find it.

google your facebook and myspace names and don't be surprised if you see them since they are in all the search engine's data bases

Try logging in with the information you logged in with when you still had your accounts. If it says the account can't be found or that your username/email and password is incorrect, then you know they are deleted.
