Can I find a person through Facebook with their cell number?

I started texting this one guy I met from a website. He claimed he has a Facebook but hasn't been on it in years and that he doesn't even remember the password. Is there anyway I can find him on Facebook by his number? When I try to search by location, age, and other details I get ZERO results. Please help. PS. I'm not paying for a reverse phone lookup. All I need is a Facebook not a life's report.
And if so, tell me how? I tried searching for my friend with his number and nothing came up even though he has his number linked and public on facebook.
