Should I get the IPad 2 or IPad mini?
I am a freshman in college and am going to get an ipad. I have an iPhone 5 and MacBook Pro and both my parents have their own iPads and said they will buy me one to use in college. I was curious which one I should get based upon the following ways I will use it:
-Bringing it to the library to do homework professors assign (instead of lugging my computer) such as reading assignment

-Social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram)

-Use apps and read articles and the other aspects the ipad offers

Will an iPad mini be too small to type and will it be too small in general and feel just bigger than my iPhone?

If you're looking for a larger screen, go with the iPad 2. If you're looking for a better, faster machine, go with the iPad mini. The mini has a brighter, better looking screen, as well....hope this will help

I suggest the iPad 2 as yeah the bigger screen will make it easier to do homework/reading assignments. It's just a matter of what you prefer, the larger screen may provide better comfort. Also, if you want to use it as an entertainment piece having the big screen is ideal for movies and what not.

iPad Mini. Trust me, the iPad 2's screen looks like grabage compared to the Mini's.

Depends what you want it for, book reading? movies? games? texting? I think if book reading the screen size comes more into play for sure, its great for that, depends on your plans.

Get the iPad mini. iPad 2 might have a big screen but the technology is older and the screen isn't as sharp as the mini. Besides, iPad mini is much newer and current generation. iOS 7 works flawlessly on it and offers better security (in addition to improved hardware performance).
