Is it odd that my friend "hides" her friend list on Facebook?

One of my friends hides her "friend list" on Facebook. Even if you are friends with her, it just shows me who " our mutual friends" are. But I can't see how many friends she has or who else. It's almost as if she is hiding something or doesn't want people to find out if she is unpopular. She updated her profile picture the other day and it only got 5 likes, but I can't tell if that is a lot or a little because I don't know if she has 400 friends or 50?

I think it's odd that you care. There are many reasons someone might hide their friends list. Why do you care so much? Why does it matter to you who is she friends with on Facebook or how many friends she has?

No I think it is odd that people question the setting someone prefers on their facebook account. If this is a 'true friend' of yours why would you jump to such negative assumptions as if they have something to hide or they are unpopular. If you truly know the person you already know those questions are false, or you would not be a 'friend' to her in the first place.

Why should you care? I hid my friends list because my OLD friend Leo would go on Facebook and add my friends, people who he didn't even know. And they'd get on my ass because odd people kept adding them and they assumed they were my friends. Maybe she had a different reason. And if you're such a "Friend" you wouldn't say such negative things about her. Leave her alone and maybe worry about yourself instead of how many friends she has. Or how many likes she has on her profile pictures.
