your down speen is 1184kb so divide by 8

so the actual download speed will 148 kb/s

this speed depends on the servers you download from or you download and watching videos in the same time and so on....

KB is not the same as Kb. The first is kilobytes and the second is kilobits. Your 1184 Kb connection is roughly equivalent to 118 KB. However you lose approximately 10% as overhead, so your 90 KB/s download is close to the practical maximum available to you.

Hi,

Your modem page is showing you maximum POTENTIAL download/upload speed. These speeds are NOT guaranteed and even your ISP (Internet Service Provider) says so in the contract; if you read it.

Also, as previously stated, your actual download speed is 148Kbp/s and actual upload speed is 56Kbp/s. (1148 / 8 = 148) Also, your download and upload will vary on the servers your downloading files from. (Servers sometimes place caps as a way to sign up for their premium package)

Hope this has helped you and good luck!

Your download speed is 1184 KiloBITS per second. In computing file sizes are measured in KiloBYTES. So when you download, your speed would be in KiloBytes and not in kilobits!
Your download speed is: 1184/8 = 148 KiloBytes. You can download a 1 MB file in 6.91 seconds...... I guess your connection speed is 1.024 Mbps, am I right?

Mrunal
